New Trafalgar Tours of Sub-Saharan-Africa
First the first time ever, travelers are going to be able to book a Trafalgar Africa tour that will take them to sub-Saharan countries. These include Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Tanzania and Zambia. These trips will start in December and will offer travelers an opportunity that they never thought possible. This is what you need to know about these new tours.
Waiting For The Perfect Fit
It took a while for these tours to be offered because Trafalgar was waiting for the right partner. They knew that there was a high demand for tours to Africa, but they wanted to make sure they would be done right. Through a series of events, they teamed up with Cullinan Holidays Tourism & Leisure, a company in South Africa that has both inbound and outbound operators. One of them is Thompsons Africa who will run the ground operations of these new African tours.
Intimate In Nature
Each tour will be fairly intimate and very different from other Trafalgar tour offerings. There will be only 12-15 guests per tour, much less than the average of over 40 travelers on most Trafalgar trips. In fact, for certain itineraries, like those to Botswana, there will be only 4 guests allowed.
Diverse Itineraries
So far there will be 10 itineraries and 3 different styles of trips. These include condensed trips called mini-stays; country explorer, which is a trip through one country; and regional explorer, a multi-country trip. In December, the African Safari Adventure and Essense of South Africa will be offered and the rest of the itineraries will continue to roll out in 2019.
Reasonable Pricing And Options
Trips will range from 4 to 15 days. As far as pricing goes, guests can expect to pay as little as $2,495 per person for a Victoria Falls Experience trip, four days in length, or as much as $9,350 for a 14-day African Safari Adventure to both Tanzania and Kenya. All of this pricing is based on double occupancy.
One of the nice things about these tours is that they are suitable or most travelers. There's not a specific demographic that they are geared after. Travelers of almost all ages and capabilities should be able to enjoy one of these sub-Saharan Africa tours.
